Cost Controller

NES Fircroft is seeking a local Cost Controller to join a major operator in Muscat, Oman. This role is exclusively for Omani nationals or individuals already based in Oman.

The Cost Controller will be part of the Project Control team, supporting cost management during the project execution phase.

• Undertake day-to-day Cost Control activities.
• Manage invoicing processes, including invoicing from suppliers and across project locations.
• Support the Project Control and Project Team in all cost control matters.
• Contribute to delivering the project on time and within budget.
• Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the project.
• Ensure efficient and accurate invoice workflow processes.
• Monitor invoice receipt, registration, cost allocation, rate analysis, and contractual compliance.
• Manage invoice validation workflows and rejected invoices.
• Follow up on payments in coordination with accounting departments for timely processing.
• Calculate advance payment deductions, forecast monthly values, and estimate cash calls.
• File all project cost documentation appropriately.
• Participate in project budget preparation, revision, and final cost estimation.
• Assist in budget variation analysis and presentations to budget owners.
• Prepare and monitor Authorization for Expenditure (AFE).
• Provide ad-hoc support as required.

• Monitor and follow up on project expenditures.
• Participate in purchase processes, including requisition and order creation.
• Control commitments and cost allocations, making reallocations as necessary.
• Manage RFS process administration.
• Assist with site man-hours follow-up and mobilization cost estimation.
• Ensure timely and complete team time writing ("CATS").
• Establish and maintain cost control procedures aligned with company standards.
• File cost control documents and follow the document filing system.
• Participate in the implementation of MM module within SAP ERP.
• Gather data for monthly closure processes.
• Review commitment schedules and prepare accruals.
• Contribute to monthly cost control reports, analysis, and presentations.
• Provide input for cash flow estimation and monthly cash calls.

• Professional Experience: 8 years.
• Experience in a similar role: at least 4 years in project cost control, preferably in Oil & Gas industry, with experience in fabrication/construction yards.
• Degree in Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in SAP systems, project requirements, and IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, PowerBI).
• Languages: English mandatory.
