Our client is seeking an experienced Production Performance Manager to join a major LNG project. The role involves managing all aspects of Production Performance implementation to ensure Business Continuity, plant's optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Based in Muscat with regular site visits, the job holder will manage the Production Performance team and report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Production Performance Manager will oversee the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), providing short-term site support for scheduling, troubleshooting, and reporting to maximize site efficiency. They will also be responsible for the Operations Support & Methods team, focusing on methods, digital roadmap, cost control, and procurement, ensuring resources are in place to minimize risks and maximize production.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Leading the team to provide effective technical support for the Marsa LNG Site, ensuring top performance while maintaining HSE and Integrity as core values.
  2. Establishing and improving Operations Methods, developing and maintaining digital tools like Production Data Management System, PI, etc.
  3. Acting as Technical Authority for Production Performance Initiatives (Management of Change).
  4. Managing operations reporting and follow-up.
  5. Applying rigorous cost control processes in Operations (Pre-OPEX and OPEX) and preparing yearly budgets.
  6. Contributing to achieving the project's planned production start-up date and adhering to project cost controls.
  7. Managing the IOC and supporting site activities as an active leader.
  8. Supporting integrated planning and campaign preparations, including requirements, budgeting, and scheduling.
  9. Ensuring operations preparedness activities comply with project requirements, are on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  10. Leading recruitment and competency assessments for the Production Performance team.
  11. Replacing and acting as Operations Manager or Plant Manager in the absence of the respective job holders.

Within a lean and agile organization, the service holder will also be responsible for:

  1. Process studies related to startup and production activities.
  2. Production chemistry activities, including consumption monitoring and optimization.
  3. Plant monitoring in liaison with site, including daily monitoring, action plans, and long-term review of inhibitions and isolations.
  4. Investigating operational deficiencies and troubleshooting process equipment and piping systems.
  5. Participating in workshops and meetings with authorities, contractors, and JV stakeholders.
  6. Ensuring procurement and contract activities follow strict rules.
  7. Developing Operations Management System and ensuring timely preparation of manuals and handbooks.
  8. Integrating digital tools and applications like TIM, NPDMS, ePermit into operations to maximize efficiency.
  9. Preparing reports on team activities, highlighting concerns.
  10. Managing and developing a team of 9 positions, including Heads, Engineers, and specialists.
Required experience:
  • Master's degree in science or engineering.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • 15 years' experience in LNG operations.
