Our client is seeking an experienced Production Performance Manager to join a major LNG project, overseeing all aspects of Production Performance implementation to ensure Business Continuity and optimal plant performance, safety, and reliability.

Based in Muscat with regular site visits, the job holder will manage the Production Performance team and report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Production Performance Manager will oversee the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), which provides local, short-term site support for scheduling, execution, troubleshooting, and reporting, enabling the site to maximize operational efficiency. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for the Operations Support & Methods team, focusing on methods, digital roadmap, cost control, and procurement, ensuring resources are optimized to minimize risks and maximize production.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Leading the team to provide effective technical support for the Marsa LNG Site, ensuring top performance while maintaining HSE and Integrity as core values.
  2. Establishing and improving operational methods and developing digital tools (Production Data Management System, PI, etc.).
  3. Acting as the Technical Authority for Production Performance Initiatives (Management of Change).
  4. Managing operations reporting and follow-up.
  5. Applying rigorous cost control processes in operations (Pre-OPEX and OPEX) and coordinating annual budget preparations.
  6. Contributing to achieving the project's planned start-up date and strict project cost control.
  7. Managing the IOC and supporting site activities as an active leader.
  8. Supporting the integrated planning and campaign teams in campaign preparation and follow-up.
  9. Ensuring operations preparedness activities meet all requirements, project planning, and quality standards within budget.
  10. Leading recruitment and competency assessments for the Production Performance team.
  11. Replacing and acting as Operations Manager or Plant Manager in their absence or unplanned leave.

Within a lean and agile organization, the service holder will also:

  1. Handle process studies related to start-up and production activities.
  2. Oversee production chemistry activities, including consumption monitoring and optimization.
  3. Monitor plant operations daily, develop action plans, and review long-term issues.
  4. Investigate operational deficiencies and troubleshoot process equipment and piping systems.
  5. Participate in workshops and meetings with authorities, contractors, and stakeholders.
  6. Ensure procurement and contract activities comply with rules.
  7. Develop the Operations Management System and ensure timely preparation of manuals and handbooks.
  8. Ensure digital tools (TIM, NPDMS, ePermit, etc.) are integrated into operations to enhance efficiency.
  9. Prepare reports on team activities and highlight concerns.
  10. Manage and develop a team of 9 positions, including team leads, engineers, and procurement specialists.

Required experience:

  • Master's degree in science or engineering.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Over 15 years of LNG operations experience.
