Our client is seeking an experienced Production Performance Manager to join a major LNG project. The role involves managing all aspects of Production Performance implementation to ensure Business Continuity, and the plant's performance, safety, and reliability.

The position is based in Muscat with regular site visits. The job holder will manage the Production Performance team and report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Production Performance Manager will oversee the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), which provides short-term, front-line site support for scheduling, execution, troubleshooting, and reporting, enabling the site to focus on core operations. Additionally, they will be responsible for the Operations Support & Methods team, covering methods, digital roadmap, cost control, and procurement. The goal is to ensure all resources are in place to minimize operational risks and maximize production.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the team to provide effective technical support, ensuring top performance while maintaining HSE and Integrity as core values.
  • Establishing and improving operational methods and digital tools (e.g., Production Data Management System, PI).
  • Acting as Technical Authority for Production Performance Initiatives (Management of Change).
  • Managing operations reporting and follow-up.
  • Applying rigorous cost control processes and preparing annual budgets.
  • Contributing to achieving the project's planned start-up date and maintaining strict project cost control.
  • Managing the IOC and supporting site activities as an active leader.
  • Supporting campaign planning and follow-up, including requirements, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Ensuring operational preparedness activities meet all requirements, are on schedule, within budget, and of high quality.
  • Leading recruitment and competency assessments for the Production Performance team.
  • Acting as Operations Manager or Plant Manager in the absence of the designated managers.

Within a lean and agile organization, the service holder will also:

  • Conduct process studies related to start-up and production activities.
  • Oversee production chemistry activities, including consumption monitoring and optimization.
  • Monitor plant operations daily, develop action plans, and review long-term issues.
  • Investigate process deficiencies and troubleshoot equipment and piping systems.
  • Participate in workshops and meetings with authorities, contractors, and JV stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement and contracting activities adhere to rules.
  • Develop the Operations Company Management System.
  • Prepare operating manuals and handbooks timely.
  • Integrate digital tools (e.g., TIM, NPDMS, ePermit) into operations for efficiency.
  • Report on team activities, highlighting concerns.
  • Manage a team of 9, including roles such as Head of IOC, Process Engineer, and Digital Lead.

Required experience includes:

  • Master's degree in science or engineering.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Over 15 years of LNG operations experience.
