Design Architect – Product Development

JOB PURPOSE

The selected design architect will lead all design related works relevant to residential product development in both our destinations. The candidate will focus mainly on façade visualization, floor layouts designs, dynamic massing creation and ultimately ensure tasteful architectural character within both destinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Designs for In-House resort developments

  1. Creating a look and feel for pre concept presentations.
  2. Creating salable rich designs with new and dynamic ideas.
  3. Creating floor plan layouts for villas and apartments with high architectural quality.
  4. Creating product facades with realistic materials and buildable elements.
  5. Ensuring synergies of designs with existing neighborhoods.
  6. Ability to design using modern architectural elements and dynamic massing.
  7. Ensuring building heights and orientations are in line with our resort standards.
  8. Ensuring an attractive skyline within both our resorts.
  9. Modifying new or existing plans as required.
  10. Ensuring fluid internal spaces and layouts adhering to market standards and relevant dimensions.
  11. Creating 3D models to represent the designs.
  12. Proficiency in landscape designs and landscape elements.
  13. Use of suitable materials with attention to detail and costs.

Product Designs for Outsourced resort developments

  1. Monitor the performance of the Design Consultant to ensure design correctness and completeness as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements.
  2. Ability to create product briefs and area programs with relevant sizing.
  3. Ability to create project deliverables.
  4. Proficiency in design review of project deliverables.
  5. Ability to direct main architectural elements with consultants.
  6. Ability to direct consultants to produce sellable rich designs.
  7. Ability to direct consultants on general architectural style.
  8. Ensuring consultants conform to architectural guidelines.
  9. Ability to turn over deliverable comments with efficiency and quality.

Master Plan schematic designs

  1. Create master plans for small and midscale developments.
  2. Ability to apply standards and spacing standards in master plans.
  3. Ability to create and design units on land plots with views, gardens, and roads.
  4. Understanding setbacks, land efficiencies, and general standards.
  5. Ability to create master plan presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum prerequisite degree: bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent master's degree in public buildings.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design works and consultancies.
  • Ability to work within an existing functional team.
  • Ability to produce design works on time with quality.
  • Conforming to company working hours and team attendance.
  • Proficient in 3D SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Photoshop.
