The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care & Research Center (SQCCCRC) in Muscat, Oman a Quaternary care level center providing care for adult patients with solid malignancies (No hematological malignancies).

SQCCCRC is seeking to appoint a Clinical Pharmacist, who is a highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the SQCCCRC. The Centre is aspiring to be a high-tech center with innovative -patient and staff centered- technologies. A work environment that is fun and rewarding.

Education/Qualifications

• BSc Pharmacy.
• MSc Pharmacy.
• Preferably: Board certification in Oncology or Critical Care or Post-graduate Diploma in Oncology Pharmacy.
• A minimum of 6 years' clinical practice experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferably Oncology.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Work directly with oncologists and other health professionals on their designated specialties to ensure that the medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcomes.
• Assess the status of the patient's health problems and determine whether the prescribed medications are optimally meeting the patient's needs and goals of care.
• Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient's medications.
• Work directly with patients and caregivers to ensure effective treatment plans that meet patient's needs and overall therapy goals.
• Advise and counsel patients and caregivers on how to best take their medications throughout the treatment journey.
• Precept and supports the training of undergraduate/postgraduate students
• Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
• Contribute the body of knowledge through research.
• Performs any other duties assigned.

Salary will be based upon experience and qualification, using Oman Medical Bylaw.
