As a Field Operator, you will learn to spool and band electrical power cables used on ESP systems in coordination with installation engineers and rig operators.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting pre-installation checks to verify tools and equipment are available and in good condition.
• Participating in Toolbox Talks (TBT) to discuss installation procedures and safety measures.
• Setting up cable reel and spooler, ensuring secure connections and safety clamps are properly tightened.
• Transporting installation equipment to the rig floor.
• Assembling gauge cable head according to procedures, ensuring secure connections.
• Connecting gauges to completion tubing, ensuring leak-proof connections.
• Supervising sheave lifting operations and maintaining cable safety.
• Communicating effectively with team members for safe operations.
• Operating pneumatic spooler following installation procedures.
• Installing cable bands and clamps using banding machine/clamp gun.
• Conducting functionality tests to ensure proper operation and data integrity.
• Documenting installation steps, challenges, and testing results.
• Participating in post-installation reviews for continuous improvement.
• Completing and submitting accurate JOB reports.
• Cleaning equipment after job completion.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance on pneumatic tools.

Fuel your passion

To succeed, you should have:

• A Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with artificial lift, preferably with downhole monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and banding materials, including repair and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good customer service skills.
