Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our customers in the field, providing high-quality services and ensuring customer satisfaction.


About the Role

The successful candidate will have a technical background and experience working with artificial lift systems. They will also possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.


Main Responsibilities
  • Conducting pre-installation checks to verify all tools and equipment are available and in good condition.
  • Participating in toolbox talks to discuss installation procedures and safety measures.
  • Setting up cable reels and spoolers, ensuring secure connections and proper tightening of safety clamps.
  • Transporting installation equipment to the rig floor.
  • Assembling gauge cables according to procedures, ensuring all connections are secure.
  • Connecting gauges to completion tubing, ensuring tight and leak-proof connections.
  • Supervising sheave lifting operations closely and maintaining vigilance regarding cable safety.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate operations safely.
  • Operating pneumatic spoolers following installation procedure.
  • Installing cable bands and clamps as required using banding machines/clamp guns.
  • Conducting thorough functionality tests to ensure proper operation and data integrity of gauge systems.
  • Documenting installation steps, challenges faced, and testing results for future reference.
  • Participating in post-installation reviews, discussing challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Completing accurate job reports and submitting them to supervisors as required.
  • Cleaning installation equipment after completing the job.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on pneumatic tools.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience with artificial lift systems, preferably with downhole monitoring systems.
  • A general knowledge of machines, tools, and banding materials, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
