Role OverviewThis role is exclusively for Omani nationals and requires candidates to be Omani citizens.
We are looking for an experienced and organised Project Manager with a strong focus on team collaboration and process optimisation to lead and manage complex projects in the telecoms sector. This role involves overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and team members. Experience in telecoms is a plus, as the role will involve managing projects that improve infrastructure, optimise network performance, and enhance digital services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and proactive mitigation of potential delays.
- Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project meetings, manage agendas, and prepare detailed documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project reviews.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including telecom engineers, IT professionals, and business stakeholders, to align on project goals and deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative project environment, promoting transparent communication, regular status updates, and accountability within the project team.
- Support change management efforts by planning and coordinating training sessions, user acceptance testing, and go-live preparations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding project updates and progress.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and clients involved in project execution.
- Contribute to the company handbook by writing, maintaining, and updating relevant sections related to project management, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company practices and policies.
- Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency, team productivity, and overall project outcomes.
- Continuously assess and refine project management methodologies and tools to ensure best practices are applied.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address them effectively.
- Monitor project progress to detect and address issues promptly, minimizing disruptions.
- Ensure contingency plans are in place to handle project challenges and delays.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; PMP or other relevant certification is an advantage.
- 4+ years' experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in the telecoms sector or familiarity with telecom project requirements is advantageous, especially in network optimisation and digital infrastructure.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Agile or Lean methodologies is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a knack for multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) or Lean methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience with telecoms-specific project management or familiarity with OSS/BSS systems.
- Background in managing data centre or network infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in advanced project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project Server, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with telecom industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Strong understanding of KPI tracking and performance metrics in telecoms projects.
- Experience with cross-cultural team management, particularly in multi-market projects.
- A results-oriented project manager with a track record of successful project delivery.
- A collaborative team player who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
