RM Planning Engineer

As part of the planning team of OCI, to assist, follow-up and provide optimized production plan and plan for proper utilization of raw materials.

Key Deliverables

  1. Coordinate raw material requirement with respective departments for maximum production workflow for multiple finished goods.
  2. Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials required to cover production demand.
  3. Prepare and revise MCP (Manufacturing Completion Program) and coordinate with respective departments to intimate the finalized MCP.
  4. Coordinate with S&M for understanding the raw material requirement from the sales orders.
  5. You will be responsible for preparation of quarterly stock report which is used to physically verify the stock position.
  6. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
  7. Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
  8. Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, warehouse and other staff.
  9. You will be responsible to assist the Manager in planning the production budget of the Company from the annual budget and eventually to calculate the raw material budget and requirement for the Company. Coordinate with all departments for the same.
  10. Responsible to check the daily enquiries from the S&M department and suggest indicative timelines for sourcing, production and delivery.
  11. Coordinate with purchase department to maintain safe raw material inventory levels and to initiate purchase procedures if levels are not met.
Qualifications

Graduate / Diploma in any stream.

Skills/Knowledge

  1. Excellent communication skills in English.
  2. Relationship management skills.
  3. Ability to take timely actions and decisions.
  4. Proven experience as production planner.
  5. Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  6. Experience in Manufacturing resource planning.
  7. Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
  8. Good at math and statistics.
  9. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience

  1. 6+ years of experience in related industries. (Preferably cable manufacturing).
Business Understanding

  1. Good understanding of the cable manufacturing operations is essential.
