Medical Officer at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center

Location: Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care & Research Center (SQCCCRC) in Muscat, Oman, is a Quaternary care level center specializing in adult solid malignancies (excluding hematological malignancies).

We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Officer to develop their professional career within SQCCCRC. The center offers a family-friendly environment with many options for outdoor and social activities for young singles.

Qualifications
  • Basic medical degree from a recognized institution.
Experience
  • Minimum two years post-internship experience dealing with adult patients with various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to policies, guidelines, plans, and programs of CCCRC.
  • Perform duties assigned to the Medical Officer role.
  • Examine patients, record history ethically and compassionately, and in compliance with Good Medical Practice.
  • Request investigations and record results in medical charts.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds, noting patient progress and health status.
  • Follow management plans approved by the registrar or consultant in charge.
  • Work as part of the team during on-call duties to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Assist senior team members in invasive procedures.
  • Handle clinical scenarios and emergencies, including CPR, and communicate with senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Participate in inter-departmental clinical meetings for patient care.
  • Engage in health education programs, orientation, and scientific presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department head.

Salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and vacancy availability, in accordance with Oman Medical Bylaw.
