Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to establish a professional working relationship and a good rapport between the governing bodies of Oman and MAN Energy Solutions Muscat LLC. It is also to ensure that all requirements relating to immigration services and current legislation and regulations are up to date and legal. This includes obtaining, updating, and renewing trade licensing, establishment cards, vehicle registrations, etc., to ensure compliance with current Oman laws.

As the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Muscat and Sur Offices, you will be required to manage the administration surrounding all aspects of the government-related responsibilities of the role while ensuring that the work is evenly distributed between the two organizations. You will liaise with the Human Resources Manager to maintain continuity of standards regarding employment visa issues.

What are you going to do?

  1. Maintain an overview and prepare employee claims reports in Sur location for local and job-related expenses.
  2. Maintain an overview and prepare overtime claims for Sur employees.
  3. Process purchase requests in SAP and Namos for spare parts, uniforms, and other items required for the jobs.
  4. Arrange training licenses by seeking more feasible quotations and coordinating with HR for arrangements.
  5. Supervise and maintain company vehicles.
  6. Manage the tracking system for all employment visas throughout the organization.
  7. Oversee all employment visa/labor card issues, including applications, cancellations, stamping, renewals, and transit visas.
  8. Arrange visa medicals for new employees and renewals; assist in the full process.
  9. Manage employment visa documentation.
  10. Obtain visit visas/transit visas for the company on an "ad hoc" basis.
  11. Keep a database of company trade licenses and establishment cards, renewing as required.
  12. Handle all aspects of any government-related websites.
  13. Get regular updates/changes of legislation from immigration/government bodies and relay the information back to the Human Resources Department.
  14. Assist employees as they exit the country (i.e., visa cancellation).
  15. Keep track of employees' visa expiration dates and labor cards.
  16. Provide HR administration support when required.

You Can Help Us With These Qualifications

  1. Very good oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a government liaison role/PRO in Oman.
  3. College graduate, preferably with a Bachelor's degree.
  4. Strong background in Oman labor law.
  5. Proficient typing skills in English and Arabic.
  6. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively, particularly with local government bodies.
  7. Knowledge and experience in portal system usage (Immigration and Free Zone).
