Experienced Carpenter - Khasab, Oman

Our reputable construction company in Khasab, Oman is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing structures made of wood, steel and other materials. This is a contract-based position with a salary of $1200 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine materials needed for the project
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares or marking gauges
- Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, drills and sanders
- Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples or adhesives
- Install structures such as doors, windows, frames and trim according to specifications
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures using hand tools or power tools
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working on site

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints and building plans accurately
- Proficient in using hand and power tools effectively
- Good knowledge of different wood types and their properties
- Physically fit with good balance and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; Vocational or trade school certification in Carpentry preferred
- Prior experience working on construction sites in the Middle East is highly desirable
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if required
