Junior JavaScript and Operations Engineer

We are seeking a fresh graduate to join Decree as a Junior JavaScript and Operations Engineer. This position will support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in developing and maintaining the technology required for the business. Additionally, this team member will support the daily operations of the website, onboarding new customers, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development Support:

  • Assist in the day-to-day software development operations, including JavaScript development and maintenance.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of web applications and infrastructure.
  • Assist in monitoring website performance and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new features and functionalities for the website as well as back-end tools.

Operational Support:

  • Assist in the daily operations of Decree websites and applications.
  • Support the onboarding process for new Decree customers, including account setup and technical assistance.
  • Help maintain system documentation and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with fundamental JavaScript concepts and basic web development principles (HTML, CSS).
  • Desirable experience includes working with:
  • Version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
  • JavaScript runtimes (e.g., Node.js)
  • Content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
  • AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Co-Pilot, Cursor, Windsurf)
  • Other relevant technologies (e.g., AppScript, OfficeJS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic, enabling effective technical communication and user support.
