Job Description: Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator – LNG Plant Construction (Omani)

Location: Oman

Project: LNG Plant Construction

Job Type: Full-time / Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to oversee and manage the permit system on a major LNG plant construction project in Oman. The role involves ensuring all work complies with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures. This position is open only to Omani nationals in line with workforce development policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Permit System Management: Implement and oversee the PTW system, ensuring all permits are obtained before work begins.
  • Compliance & Safety Assurance: Ensure all activities adhere to HSE regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with construction, commissioning, and safety teams to follow PTW procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Review JSA, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments prior to permit issuance.
  • Permit Issuance & Tracking: Verify permits are authorized, documented, and maintained throughout the project.
  • Worksite Inspections: Conduct inspections to ensure permit conditions and safety controls are followed.
  • Incident Reporting & Investigation: Support incident reporting and investigations related to PTW issues.
  • Training & Awareness: Provide training to workers and contractors on PTW procedures and safety practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Omani nationality (Mandatory)
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of PTW coordination experience, preferably in LNG, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, PTW procedures, and risk assessment techniques
  • Familiarity with construction, commissioning, and startup activities in the oil & gas industry
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
  • Certification in HSE, PTW, or Process Safety Management (advantage)
  • Experience with large-scale LNG or oil & gas projects
  • Knowledge of international safety standards (OSHA, ISO, OHSAS, etc.)
