Job Title: Middleware Specialist

Type of Contract: One year renewable

Main Role (Overall Accountability)

Responsible for application system integration, including technical analysis, API development, configuration, and environment support for the bank's middleware applications in liaison with various IT teams. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain complex integration services and APIs based on industry standards and best practices using:
  • IBM's App Connect Enterprise (formerly IBM Integration Bus)
  • IBM Message Queue (MQ)
  • IBM DataPower
  • IBM API Connect
Provide technical support for bank's IT projects involving integration through IBM middleware products, including configuration fixes, code fixes, testing support, performance, and security testing.Perform monitoring activities for supported systems, including operation of utilities for customer system and data implementations.Maintain systems and respond to emergencies outside normal hours as needed to ensure system health and upgrades.Resolve issues and support RCA analysis for production incidents, following escalation processes to meet resolution targets.Involve external resources when necessary to resolve issues.Adhere to standards and processes for project delivery, peer review, security, incident, and problem management.Ensure corrective and preventive actions are undertaken to resolve problems promptly.Contribute ideas to improve team effectiveness and seek input from team members.Implement and manage security processes to ensure uninterrupted operations and compliance with bank and data privacy policies.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • IBM Professional Certification in IBM App Connect Enterprise (or Integration Bus) and IBM MQ is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant IT/Technology certifications are desirable.
Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting IT software solutions.

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with integration solutions using:

  • IBM App Connect Enterprise (mandatory)
  • IBM MQ (mandatory)
  • IBM DataPower (desired)
  • IBM API Connect (desired)

Minimum 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing API (RESTful) and Web Services (SOAP).

Training

Formal training in two or more IBM Middleware products listed above.

Other Skills and Abilities

Programming experience in Java & J2EE systems, with working knowledge of Java-based open source technologies.
