Honey Production Specialist Job

  • This position involves working with a large number of hives, situated over 3 sites. The person responsible will be fully in charge of the health of the hives, harvesting and ensuring they have food and water as needed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing 60 hives initially, with plans to expand to 250.
  2. Developing new hives through the introduction of new queens.
  3. Specializing in Sidr honey production for 3 months and multifloral honey production for the rest of the time.
  4. Honey testing done in an on-site laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Agricultural Diploma/Degree is advantageous.
  • Experience with conventional honey production (APIS) is required.
  • The candidate should have experience in breeding bees.
  • Knowledge of wild/native bees is necessary.
  • The ideal candidate should be passionate about bees and making honey.
  • A driver's license is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
