The Mandarin Oriental Muscat seeks an experienced Dessert Artisan to lead the pastry team in creating visually stunning and delicious desserts that exceed our guests' expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and create innovative dessert presentations that showcase artistic flair and technical skill.
• Research and stay up-to-date on the latest pastry trends, techniques, and ingredients to enhance dessert offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including F&B, Marketing, and Events, to develop customized dessert menus and packages.
• Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff members to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source premium ingredients and materials that meet our quality standards.
• Optimize pastry production processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency.
• Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, vendors, and clients through effective communication, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
• Staying abreast of changing consumer preferences and adapting dessert offerings to meet evolving demands.
• Leading by example, demonstrating a passion for innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in all aspects of dessert preparation and presentation.
