Embedded Linux Engineering Leader

This position plays a pivotal role in spearheading a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities. As an Embedded Linux Engineering Leader, you will be instrumental in helping customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. Your leadership will drive the success of this team by fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded Linux development, with a strong background in Yocto or other similar technologies. Proficiency in Debian or Ubuntu is highly desirable. In addition, the successful candidate will possess fluency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.

This role requires exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage a small team and coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback. The candidate must also have excellent interpersonal skills, be a quick learner, and be able to communicate the business benefits of technology effectively.

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Field Engineers, solve customer problems by promoting our technologies, work remotely in a single major time zone, and represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers. You will also identify and measure team health indicators, implement disciplined engineering processes, and plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in embedded Linux development, with a strong background in Yocto or other similar technologies
