Electrical Power Systems Designer

We are seeking an Electrical Power Systems Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Power Systems Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical power systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Electrical Power Systems: You will design and develop electrical power systems, including single line diagrams, protection & metering diagrams, and load lists.
  • Prepare Electrical Equipment Layouts: You will prepare electrical equipment layouts, including overhead line route layouts.
  • Conduct Power System Studies: You will conduct power system studies using ETAP/Digsilent software, including short circuit analysis, load flow analysis, and dynamic motor starting.
  • Develop Protection & Metering SLDs: You will develop protection & metering SLDs for HV/MV/LV systems.
  • Perform Calculations & Design: You will perform calculations and design for earthing and lightning protection systems, as well as lighting systems according to relevant standards.
  • Equipment Sizing Calculations: You will perform equipment sizing calculations, including transformer, switchgear, emergency diesel generator, UPS & battery charger.
  • Leadership & Team Management: You will lead a team of engineers and designers throughout project execution, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering: You must have a bachelor's degree in electrical/power engineering from a recognized university/institution.
  • Experience in Electrical and Power Engineering: You must have more than 8 years of experience in electrical and power engineering in the oil and gas sector.
  • Proficient in Electrical Design Documentation: You must be proficient in preparing electrical and power design documentation.
  • Excellent Leadership & Communication Skills: You must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
