About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team in Oman. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical power systems for the oil and gas sector.

This is a full-time position that requires strong electrical engineering knowledge and experience in the industry. Your key responsibilities will include preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection & Metering Diagrams, and Load lists.

  • Design and prepare electrical equipment layouts, including OHL Route Layouts.
  • Conduct Power System Studies using ETAP/Digsilent software, including short circuit analysis, load flow analysis, and Dynamic Motor starting.
  • Develop Protection & Metering SLDs for HV/MV/LV systems, including calculations for earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • Perform equipment sizing calculations, e.g., Transformer, Switchgear, Emergency Diesel Generator, UPS & Battery Charger.
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers throughout project execution, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering from a recognized University/Institution; Master Degree is a plus.
  • More than 8 years of rich experience in Electrical and Power Engineering in the oil and gas sector.
  • Proficient in preparing electrical and Power design documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Power systems, HV/MV/LV system Protections, Electrical Specifications and Data sheets, earthing, lightning protection, Cable sizing, lighting design, equipment layout, vendor offer review, and preparing Technical Bid Evaluation reports and hazardous area classification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
