A seasoned culinary professional is sought after to lead the kitchen operations of a prominent establishment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing high-volume kitchens, driving menu development, and fostering a culture of excellence among team members.
About the Role:
- Oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of all food items to ensure consistency and exceptional quality.
- Develop menus that showcase creativity, seasonal ingredients, and guest preferences, while maintaining a focus on profitability.
- Supervise and coach kitchen staff to ensure clear communication of expectations and standards, promoting a positive work environment.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen operation, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Implement standard operating procedures and adhere to brand guidelines to ensure consistency across locations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and stores to ensure proper inventory levels, quality control, and timely ordering.
- Optimize kitchen workflow to reduce waste, improve preparation times, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a senior Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine role in a high-volume restaurant/hotel.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing culinary teams.
- Excellent understanding of international cuisine, culinary trends, and plating techniques.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Passionate about food, creativity, and guest service, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
