Financial Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting the finance function in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial data.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.
  2. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
  3. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  4. Assist in preparing audit schedules and liaise with auditors.
Compliance and Control
  1. Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  2. Support accurate tax reporting and statutory filings as per local regulations.
  3. Monitor and enforce financial policies related to assets, liabilities, and expenses.
Analysis and Support
  1. Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  2. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  3. Work closely with other departments to clarify financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Collaboration and Development
  1. Support and guide other finance functions.
  2. Assist with ad-hoc reports and projects.
  3. Help train junior finance staff and promote financial awareness across departments.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Clear, professional communication skills.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
