Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures framework for our Islamic Window (IW) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Analyzing and understanding existing policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement and development.
  • Ensuring the translation of documents both ways (English – Arabic) and explaining them as required.
  • Identifying gaps in our policies and procedures framework from a requirement standpoint and developing new documents to address these gaps.
  • Reviewing documents prepared by other departments or external parties for the IW.
  • Ensuring compliance with the review process for IW documents.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, control functions, business units, and other departments for timely review and completion of documentation.
  • Presenting documents and details for clarification, including to senior stakeholders.
  • Notifying and explaining new policies and procedures for IW in a timely manner.
  • Acting as custodian of all IW documents.
  • Undertaking administrative functions for implementing policies and procedures for IW.
  • Evaluating the implementation and adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A university degree with 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Islamic Financial Institutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and operations of Islamic Financial Institutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to align with our mission, vision, values, and operating principles.
  • Responsibility and passion for assigned roles.
  • Effectiveness as a team player and solution-oriented individual.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Self-motivation, proactivity, innovation, and dynamism.

Preferred Qualifications

Oman National candidates are preferred but not mandatory. A strong understanding of the local market and culture is beneficial.
