Job Title: Chief Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Operations Manager to lead our operations team and drive business success. As the chief operating officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, including production, maintenance, and technical support.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead and direct multiple teams of professionals to achieve operational excellence in production, maintenance, and technical support.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with engineers to improve asset integrity and ensure sustainable value generation from our assets.
  • Provide timely and accurate inputs for management reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs in an effective and timely manner.
  • Represent the company with key stakeholders, including employees, local communities, and governmental authorities.
  • Lead and manage local staff, including workforce planning, performance management, and development of direct reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical process)
  • Postgraduate degree in engineering management or planning (desired)
  • At least 15 years of experience in operations management, with at least 10 years in flour and/or feed mills
  • 5+ years in a senior management role, managing multiple teams
  • 5+ years managing multidisciplinary teams in operations
  • Manufacturing/operations management experience
