Senior Project Management Office Leader

SWATX is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our project management office's efforts and support the successful execution of high-impact initiatives. This pivotal role requires a skilled individual who can enhance project governance, ensure alignment with organizational objectives, and drive project success and operational efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish Project Governance: Develop and implement effective project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to policies and methodologies within the PMO.
  2. Best Practices Development: Drive the creation of project management best practices across the organization to enhance project delivery effectiveness.
  3. Project Oversight: Oversee and monitor the performance of key projects, providing strategic guidance to project managers and teams.
  4. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align project outcomes with the company's strategic goals and priorities.
  5. Communication and Reporting: Facilitate project status reporting and ensure timely communication regarding project risks and issues.
  6. Performance Assessments: Conduct in-depth assessments of project performance and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  7. Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach project managers and other team members to enhance their project management capabilities.
  8. PMO Meetings and Workshops: Organize and lead PMO meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience Requirement: 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
  • Methodology Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and relevant tools.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, and/or Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
