Commercial Project Manager - Civil Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in post-tender quantity survey, progress measurement, billing, and claims for large integrated projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager on all commercial matters to jointly obtain maximum commercial benefit from a project.
  • Prepare draft sub-contract documentation, including bid tabs/analysis, and assist the Project Manager in obtaining the best commercial and technical deal available in the market.
  • Produce monthly operating statements by prescribed dates and discuss the commercial implications with the Project Manager.
  • Undertake re-measurement, prepare, submit, and agree monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Prepare cash flows and claims documentation.
  • Monitor Project correspondence for commercial issues and initiate commercial correspondence.
  • E nsure timely notices of default are issued to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify areas of commercial risk and review ways of avoiding that risk with the Project Manager.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Civil Engineering.
  • Any nationality, male candidates preferred.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Construction and civil engineering industry experience.
  • Contract management and quantity surveying skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Awareness of site activities and resource management.
