The Duty Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering department, maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the ACE/ADOE during their absence, providing seamless continuity and ensuring the department's continued success.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, disseminating all relevant policies and procedures to ensure a unified understanding of our objectives.
  • Support the implementation of the Mandarin Oriental, Muscat Human Resources Strategic Policy, prioritizing colleague development and career growth.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development, encouraging colleagues to participate in training programs and activities that enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Hold regular meetings with colleagues to address concerns, share departmental information, and provide a forum for feedback and suggestions.
  • Protect confidential information and maintain the highest standards of data security.
  • Ensure adherence to MOHG's social media policy, promoting responsible communication and protecting the company's reputation.
  • Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to harassment and discrimination, promoting a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by management, contributing to the hotel's operational success.
Departmental Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the proper and safe condition of all plant, equipment, and work areas, adhering to fire, life, health, and safety standards.
  • Be conversant with hotel emergency procedures, performing Emergency Response Team duties as required.
  • Undertake specific duties and projects when assigned, supporting training programs and contributing to the hotel's technical excellence.
  • Work shifts as designated, maintaining a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the hotel.
  • Actively supervise and support the Shift Technician, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
