About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the carpentry and joinery workshop, ensuring smooth workflow and production efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the daily operations of the carpentry and joinery workshop.
  • Supervising and leading a team of skilled carpenters, joiners, and apprentices.
  • Coordinating with project managers and designers to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Overseeing the production of custom furniture, cabinetry, and other woodwork items.
  • Maintaining inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols.
  • Monitoring and maintaining workshop equipment.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements.
  • Managing project timelines.
  • Conducting regular quality checks.
  • Providing technical advice and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a carpentry or joinery workshop.
  • Experience working in the commercial sector particularly within the retail, F&B and office fitouts.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in a workshop environment.
  • Proficiency in using workshop machinery and equipment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi.
  • Fluency in Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft office.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma or adequate Certification in Carpentry, Joinery, Woodworking, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of advanced woodworking techniques and innovative design solutions.
