Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer

The selected candidate will oversee and manage all mechanical, static equipment, lifting equipment, and rotating equipment activities to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

As a member of the company's Maintenance & Inspection team, they will report directly to the Maintenance and Inspection Manager.

  • Project phase:
    • Develop and maintain productive relationships with site-based personnel, office operations/technical teams, external contractors/vendors, and engineering teams.
    • Prepare and validate maintenance programs for rotating and static equipment.
    • Ensure complex site maintenance procedures are in place, incorporating best practices.
    • Develop technical scopes of work and participate in call for tenders (CFT) preparation for specific maintenance contracts required for operational phases.
    • Participate in developing digital tools and applications for effective management of maintenance operations post-startup, particularly for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Operation phase:
    • Provide high-level technical and administrative support to site and control tower offices.
    • Manage and monitor maintenance activities, with accountability for short, medium, and long-term maintenance.
    • Ensure CMIMS systems and spare parts stock are in place for Mechanical Field Maintenance activities.
    • Monitor, coordinate, and manage Specific Maintenance Contracts of mechanical fields.
    • Accountable for Synergi / Downgraded Situation (DGS) actions against the Mechanical Discipline.
    • Define long-term investment plans for obsolete equipment and systems.
    • Focal for the development and implementation of Maintenance strategies, Methods, and Procedures for mechanical disciplines.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in operational maintenance execution and development within an LNG or Oil and Gas context.
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in mechanical and 5 years in field operations, including supervisory operational positions.
  • Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English is required; Arabic is a plus.
  • Technical competencies include Maintenance of LNG and bunkering facilities, Maintenance of O&G onshore facilities, Maintenance and Inspection Engineering, Commissioning, start-up, Mechanical & Static equipment, Oil & Gas industry, and management experience.
