Material Expeditor

The Material Expeditor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of production areas by compiling and maintaining accurate material and parts inventory information. This individual will be responsible for expediting the movement of materials and parts between production areas, thereby optimizing workflow efficiency.

1. Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
2. Collaborates with department supervisors to identify overdue material and parts, providing timely updates on material status.
3. Directs warehouse staff to expedite the transfer of materials from the stock area to production areas, minimizing delays.
4. Conducts thorough inspections of received materials, verifying part numbers and checking for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
5. Verifies work ticket specifications against material used at workstations to ensure accurate assignment.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
