Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Construction Specialist I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely completion of construction projects, while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Directly accountable for day-to-day activities during the project construction phase.
  2. Responsible for daily checks on C&A construction activities and reporting project progress, highlighting issues impacting quality, cost, schedule, and HSE risks.
  3. Conduct periodic HSE inspections and implement corrective actions and improvements.
  4. Monitor, control, and verify C&A construction cost estimates submitted by the contractor, ensuring activities align with contract rates.
  5. Manage change control and variance registers for all C&A project activities.
  6. Ensure projects are executed in line with company and international standards.
  7. Supervise construction activities, including instrumentation and telecom works for various well types and other O&M support work, ensuring schedule adherence.
  8. Ensure all punch lists are closed satisfactorily.
  9. Participate in system and equipment tests, protection tests, and site commissioning.
  10. Review drawings and documents, and propose upgrades or new connections.
  11. Manage and supervise all instrumentation construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  12. Maintain effective HSE systems, including risk assessments and method statements.
  13. Follow up on corrective actions to minimize faults.
  14. Plan resources to meet project schedules and keep up with new working methods to improve quality and reduce costs.
  15. Enforce and comply with HSE and security policies, providing adequate resources.
  16. Coordinate and allocate construction supervisors to work areas.
  17. Ensure completion of all reporting systems related to construction activities.
  18. Manage material availability and maintain records.
  19. Ensure personnel involved are competent and skilled, implementing improvements as needed.
  20. Ensure safety of the public, staff, and contractors, maintaining asset integrity.
  21. Oversee contractor adherence to HSSE requirements and identify hazard/environmental aspects and controls.
  22. Maintain records of daily activities and issues, providing updates to the team.
  23. Participate in project challenges and review construction documents.
  24. Support material requisitions, as-built drawings, and oversee shutdowns.
  25. Coordinate with other disciplines and resolve interface issues.
  26. Attend site inspections and foster a harmonious team environment.
  27. Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.
