Account Payable Supervisor

Job Summary

This is a senior accounting role responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of financial and accounting processes within the accounting department.


Main Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Management:
  • We implement an effective payroll auditing system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • All payroll actions are authorized and valid, with accurate records maintained.
  • We review attendance records, benefits documentation, and hours worked to ensure fairness and transparency.
  • Payroll is calculated and processed, including deductions and contributions, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Accurate payments are made for departing employees, with updated payroll records maintained.
  • Payroll costs are reconciled, and journal entries are prepared as required.
  • Timely payment of payroll tax and contribution declarations is ensured.
Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
  • Detailed summaries are provided for departmental reports.
  • Organized files supporting payroll and expenses are maintained.
  • Payroll and benefit accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Assistance is provided in month-end closing and inventory reconciliation.
Accounts Payable and Expenses:
  • Accounts payable are managed by processing invoices and supporting documents.
  • Petty cash vouchers are reviewed and payments processed.
  • Account allocations and cash disbursements are prepared and controlled.
  • Payment approvals are coordinated, and cheques issued.
  • Accruals are handled for goods, services, and commitments.
  • Vendor statements are reconciled, and correct credits verified.
  • Negotiations are conducted with vendors for discounts and service agreements reviewed.
  • Expenditures are monitored, and assistance provided in audits.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Employee and payroll records are maintained up-to-date.
  • Collaboration occurs with Human Resources on employee procedures.
  • Reports are prepared, processes streamlined, and audits supported.
  • Others duties are performed as assigned by Financial Management.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years in hotel accounting or internal audit, with supervisory experience.
