Job Title: Procurement and Contract Excellence SpecialistJob Description:As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in laying out, improving, and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of strategic sourcing, contracting, and contract management processes within an integrated supply chain framework.Main Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization and Compliance:
    • Develop and refine standardized processes and procedures for contract management, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the organization.
    • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in contract management and supply chain operations.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to internal teams on contract management principles, tools, and techniques.
    • Collaborate with legal, finance, and compliance departments to develop templates and ensure contractual agreements are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • SME for Contract Pre-Award Activities:
    • Deliver commercial advice on segmentation, category & contract strategies, tactics, tender & contract templates.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to bring in best processes, templates and address any gaps.
    • Lead the development and negotiation process of contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, legal requirements, and industry standards.
    • Advise on evaluation, assessment of risks, and appropriate contract structures and terms.
  • SME for Contract Post-Award Activities:
    • Deliver commercial advice on contract management plans, close-outs, consequence management, and claims.
    • Ensure implementation and execution of awarded contracts & adherence to contractual obligations and timelines.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier performance and contract compliance.
    • Conduct contract reviews and audits to identify deviations, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Advise on resolution of contract-related issues, disputes, and discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contract Management:
    • Map out competency requirements and a roadmap for improvements in capabilities of CH's and CEs through training and capability development programs.
    • Foster open communication, trust, and collaboration with suppliers.
    • Advocate for fair and transparent business practices while promoting a competitive supplier ecosystem.
    • Support incident investigations and audits.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, legal studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or supply chain operations, focusing on pre- and post-award contract activities.
  • Leadership experience (3+ years) in C&P or business (CO or CH).
  • Subject Matter Expert for the development of contracts, maintaining links with internal and external networks to gather leading practice insights.
  • Experience coaching others in contract management and delivering training courses and workshops.
  • Subject matter expert in post-award contract management, capable of developing and implementing PACM processes.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and contract administration best practices.
  • Proficiency in contract management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual documents and financial data.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Proven history of driving process improvements, cost savings, and supplier performance optimization.
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, SCMP) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management.
About this Role:This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in contract engineering, contract management, supply chain operations, and a meticulous attention to detail. You will be responsible for mapping out and improving end-to-end CP processes to drive speed and value, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the end-to-end CP Process, and providing critical commercial advice on all areas of CP Process and execution of Sourcing and Contracts.
