Job Title: Procurement Director

As a key member of the OQ team, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead our procurement efforts and drive strategic partnerships in the renewable energy market.

The ideal candidate will have +16 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, with a strong background in procurement and contracts management. They will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with key OEMs and contractors, as well as driving capacity building initiatives and performance of direct and indirect staff.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and expand relationships with key OEMs and contractors in the renewable energy market.
  • Direct and preside over building and retaining capabilities within Procurement and Contracts function.
  • Drive synergistic partnerships with other functions to understand their procurement needs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of Procurement and Contracts management, preferably with experience in tender boards/committees in Omani state-owned companies.
  • Planning and performance management.
  • In-depth understanding of Procurement in the energy industry, preferably in the alternative energy sector.
