Job Overview

Anantara Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leadership and teamwork, with excellent knowledge of quality food operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with organizing special events and promotions, participating in concept ideas and menus, and supervising the kitchen in preparation and presentation of food items.

  1. Assist with organizing special events and special food promotions.
  2. Participate in drafting concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions.
  3. Supervise the kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all food items.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining comprehensive product knowledge, including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends.
  2. Implementing appropriate adjustments to kitchen operations based on product knowledge.
  3. Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and personal hygiene.
  4. Working with the Superior and Director of People Services to ensure departmental performance is productive and planning for future staffing needs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. A college degree in Hotel Management or related culinary degree.
  2. At least 3 years of industry and culinary management experience.
  3. Previous experience training team members in large quantity food preparation.
