Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review Quarterly Financial Statements and Consolidation reports.
  • Develop Budgets for parent company and subsidiaries.
  • Maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports and Variance Analysis.
  • Monitor Cash Flows, Make Cash Flow Forecasts and ensure adequacy levels.
  • Authorize Journal Entries, maintain General Ledger (GL) Controls and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Ensure Debtors and Vendors accounts reconciliation.
  • Monitor GLs of Subsidiary Companies.
  • Liaise with Employees of subsidiary companies, authorize intercompany transactions and ensure reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Timely obtain Financial details from Subsidiary / Group companies for Consolidation requirements.
  • Liaise with bankers for Daily Operational requirements and furnish required details.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling, including work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, back-up for absent employees, etc.
  • Communicate with Managers and other department colleagues.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the reporting senior.
  • Participate in trainings and promote awareness on policies throughout the department.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable and advise/report failures.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Adhere to Legal & regulatory Norms on all applicable laws set forth by the Nation and international community.
