Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Sohar. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Buyer in acquiring goods and services required to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the purchase department to obtain the best products and services for quality and price.
  • Perform clerical duties, including data entries, printing, distributing, and compilation of Purchase department documents.
  • Responsible for creating purchase orders and reporting in the ERP system.
  • Compare deliveries with specifications indicated on Purchase Orders or Contract documents and communicate with vendors as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline.
  • Candidate should have around 2 years of related experience in Purchasing and/or Logistics activities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP operations.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
