Head of Regulatory Governance

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the impact of new laws, regulations, and guidelines on our business operations.

This role involves promoting a strong compliance culture throughout the organization through education, assessment, and advisory services on all regulatory compliance-related matters.

  • A key responsibility is identifying and assessing regulatory compliance risks associated with bank operations, products, and business activities.
  • Ongoing monitoring of compliance with applicable laws and regulations is essential through quarterly compliance certificates.
  • Analyze internal processes to ensure that regulatory requirements are incorporated into policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Lead assessments on the impact of new laws, regulations, and establish adequate processes to ensure compliance.
  • Oversight of the Bank's implementation of Corporate Governance regulatory instructions.
  • Identify, customize, and ensure adoption of the latest AML/CFT regulatory and global requirements, market best practices, etc.
  • Oversee data privacy and data protection policies to ensure operationalization of those policies through all units within the Bank.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain relevant compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Prepare Compliance Review and AML/CFT Quality Assurance annual plans.
  • Provide guidance to staff members on the implementation of applicable laws, regulations, and standards through policies and procedures.
  • Create and periodically review baseline standards for documentation, data collection, and procedures related to conducting KYC, CDD, and EDD.
