Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and appliances. They will also work closely with construction teams and contractors to coordinate plumbing installations in new construction or renovation projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and appliances.
  • Collaborate with Construction Teams: Work with construction teams and contractors to coordinate plumbing installations in new construction or renovation projects.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify plumbing issues and assess the condition of existing systems.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot Plumbing Issues: Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems, implementing effective and lasting solutions.
  • Respond to Emergency Situations: Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of industry developments and code changes.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of plumbing issues, proposed solutions, and accurate cost estimates.
  • Maintain High Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary or Intermediate School qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-6 years of work experience in plumbing.
  • Interpersonal Skills: High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Approach: Proactive, systematic approach to tasks.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly in terms of work and hours.
  • Task Variety: Willingness to tackle a wide range of day-to-day activities from complex to simple tasks.
  • Computer Skills: Operates a personal computer and spreadsheet software.
  • Ongoing Development: Performs other duties as assigned and is able to handle pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Autonomy: Ability to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without supervision.
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of different mechanical systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections or defects.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to work effectively with other team members and supervisors.
