Safety is a core strategic priority for our business. We are seeking a Safety Officer to enhance safety management, understanding, and performance across the designated organizational area.

This role will support the Safety Manager in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the KONE Way for Safety.

The successful candidate will collaborate with global, area, and unit teams to implement, maintain, and continuously improve the operating model of the KONE safety management system (operating model) including worker, user, and third-party safety.

Cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the KONE safety management system (operating model) including worker, user, and third-party safety.

  • Cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model.

  • Compile, maintain, and improve safety documentation together with the unit safety team.

  • Actively participate in and contribute to the unit safety committee and other safety forums.

  • Provide professional advice and support to the unit on matters affecting safety.

  • Plan, participate in, and implement projects and activities to improve safety.

  • Work closely with customers and partners, including KONE subcontractors.

  • Support the development, review, and exercise of crisis and emergency response plans.

Safety risk management involves monitoring and developing safety risk management processes, tools, and practices. The successful candidate will also support safety-related change management projects and initiatives.

Safety assurance requires collecting, measuring, and ensuring the accuracy of leading and lagging safety data. Reporting performance is also essential.

A strong understanding of legal and business environment development in safety is required, along with identifying and proposing actions.

Prioritize regular safety audits to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks, and deviations.

Analyse and investigate incidents to ensure the investigation process improvement.

Manage corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement.

Duties include promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
