Safety and Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Safety and Environmental Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE regulations and standards, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. They will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and management systems, including conducting workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
The successful candidate will also design and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels, with an emphasis on road safety and transport operations. They will lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with HSE regulations and international standards, coordinate emergency response planning, and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, with at least 5 years of experience specifically in road safety and land transport. A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Health and Safety or Environmental Science, is also required. Experience in the oil and gas sector is highly desirable, as is experience working in Oman or the GCC region.
