An accomplished Chief Engineer is required to lead the pre-opening engineering operations of our luxurious hotel, ensuring smooth establishment of hotel systems and technical infrastructure.

About the Job:

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to take charge of the hotel's engineering operations, leveraging their expertise to drive operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Operations:
    • Oversight of installation, commissioning, and testing of all hotel systems and technical infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
    • Coordination of contractors and vendors for all engineering-related projects, ensuring timely completion and high standards of work.
    • Development of preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems, guaranteeing operational readiness upon opening day.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Recruitment, training, and development of the engineering team, equipping them to manage hotel operations from day one.
    • Fostering a collaborative and efficient team culture within the engineering department.
    • Implementation of training programs for technical staff on hotel systems, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintenance and Safety:
    • Ensuring that all engineering systems and equipment meet the highest standards of safety and performance before the hotel opens.
    • Regular inspection of systems to ensure they are in good working condition and ready for operational use.
    • Development and implementation of emergency protocols for system failures or technical issues, minimizing disruption to hotel operations.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Management of the engineering department's budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of tools, supplies, and equipment.
    • Identification and implementation of energy-efficient practices and technologies to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
    • Procurement of all necessary materials, tools, and equipment for the hotel's engineering needs.
  • Project Coordination and Reporting:
    • Compilation of detailed reports on project progress, highlighting potential risks or delays.
    • Coordination with the Project Management team to ensure construction timelines are met and engineering requirements are integrated into the overall hotel design.
    • Maintenance of records of engineering projects, operations, and maintenance for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Post-Opening Support:
    • Providing technical support and expertise during the hotel's opening phase, addressing any issues quickly and resolving them efficiently.
    • Ensuring that all engineering systems are operating efficiently and the hotel is fully functional upon opening.
    • Establishment of long-term maintenance strategies to maintain the hotel's assets and technical systems after opening.
