About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI consultant to join our team. As a Power BI technical and functional consultant, you will design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models, ensuring accurate and usable data for stakeholders

  • Develop and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • Troubleshoot Power BI issues and provide solutions to optimize performance and user experience

  • Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs

  • Conduct end-user training sessions and create documentation for Power BI solutions

  • Implement DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) calculations and advanced Power Query features

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights-driven solutions

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field

  • A master's degree in data analysis or a related field is a plus

Certifications:

Mandatory Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (DP-500)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
  • Microsoft Certified: Database Management (DP300)
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
  • CBIP
  • Data Visualization specialist certification
  • SQL Certification
  • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Training
Skills and Experience:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI platform development
  • Strong expertise in DAX and Power Query
  • Proficiency in integrating Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, APIs, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and methodologies
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in a consulting environment
