Executive Chef

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative menus that showcase your culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to establish menu pricing and strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  • Lead and direct kitchen staff in meal preparation, plating, and delivery, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Establish performance standards for Stewarding in Kitchen and Food & Beverage, promoting excellence in hygiene and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, adhering to HACCP standards and procedures.
  • Identify and introduce new culinary techniques, enhancing the dining experience for our guests.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A professional kitchen apprenticeship or equivalent chef training, combined with at least 7 years of experience in quality establishments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP management systems and administration work.
  • Experience with Futurelog and food waste management systems is desirable.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Hotel Management degree is preferred.
