Key Role in Driving Transformation

The Deputy CEO will play a key role in driving the day-to-day activities of the transformation, working directly with the CEO and senior management across all departments to facilitate change and enable delivery of performance targets which ensure commercial viability, financial sustainability, and operational excellence.

Accountability

  • Work closely with the CEO on defining/refining the business strategy of the organization, and support implementing strategic initiatives to deliver on goals and objectives.
  • Support regular review of business strategy in response to changing market and industry conditions.
  • Prepare timely updates on airline performance for board of directors and senior stakeholders.
  • Work with executive management and transformation office to prepare periodic business plans including budget overview and operations.
  • Provide oversight on financial performance including budgeting, financial planning, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Identify business development opportunities and areas for revenue optimization or cost savings.
  • Support providing oversight to daily operations ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
  • Foster data-driven decision-making culture across departments.
  • Guide and advise CEO and executive management on matters related to operations, finances, and commercial.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and represent the organization externally as required.
  • Address issues or escalations across departments.
  • Oversee transformation focusing on employee morale, communication, transparency, and organization alignment.
  • Develop and retain senior management layers and key talents while fostering a strong work culture and environment.
  • Create succession planning and performance management culture within the organization.
  • Evaluate compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards and corporate governance.
  • Identify and manage risks impacting operations and reputation, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring regulations are met.
