Job Summary:

This senior-level position is a highly specialised, technical role within the organisation. The main purpose of the job is to provide expert geochemical support and advice to Exploration and Production asset customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert input on issues of charge risk; and all production related geochemical issues
  • Manage quality control of contractor specialist studies
  • Identifying Geochemistry related problems and improvement opportunities and technologies
  • Conduct specialist studies for integrated projects - play a leading role in defining scope and deliverables on such studies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience associated with subsurface fluid evaluation
  • Extensive knowledge of Reservoir Production Allocation
  • Insight into hydrocarbon fluids and their source (which rocks they come from)
  • Skilled in Analytical and Interpretation techniques/methods

About this Role:

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of geochemistry sampling methodologies, mud gas logging techniques and hydrocarbon fingerprinting for exploration and production wells. They will also be skilled in identifying Oil source and explaining how hydrocarbon is moved/migrated.
