Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Statement Analyst to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for verifying discrepancies between housekeeping and front office room status, ensuring market segmentation correctly reflects the source of business, and validating room rates with agreements or reservations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Room Revenue Report
    • Verify that discrepancies between housekeeping and front office room status are reported and resolved.
    • Ensure market segmentation correctly reflects the source of business and is accurately reflected in the General Ledger (GL).
    • Validate room rates with agreements or reservations, including allowances for revenue.
    • Perform physical room checks.
    • Review mini bar, laundry, telephone, and other revenue.
    • Examine rebate reports, discount reports, complimentary and house use reports, no show postings, late checkouts, etc., to ensure adequate explanations in approval forms.
  • Credit Card Collections
    • Reconcile all credit card collections against cashier summaries and bank lists.
  • F&B Control
    • Finalize food cover reports and photocopy relevant documentation for F&B control and the Finance Department.
    • Input revenue journals and distribute to Outlet Managers and management.
    • Control dockets used in outlets, maintaining sequence and accounting for canceled dockets.
    • Monitor F&B sales by recording guest checks timely, performing spot checks, approving voided checks, and monitoring buffet controls.
    • Ensure banquet controls are adhered to and reconcile outlet sales with charges.
  • Rebates and Miscellaneous Charges
    • Evaluate rebate credits and miscellaneous charges for compliance with Finance Policy.
    • Summarize and send rebate credits, miscellaneous charges, and paid outs to the Finance Manager and General Manager daily.
  • Coupon and Voucher Control
    • Audit daily collection of the General Cashier Summary against the bank slip.
    • Reconcile advance payments and ensure proper application.
    • Work with the General Cashier to monitor float totals and register controls.
    • Reconcile revenues daily via backup pages.
  • Special Projects
    • Perform various special projects assigned by management.
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Adhere to Hotel Handbook and general policies and procedures.
    • Comply with Finance Policies and Procedures.
