Procurement and Contract Expert
The role of a Senior Expert - Procurement and Contract involves adding significant value in terms of quality assurance, validation of final contracts, and overall project strategy contributions. Key responsibilities include communicating with internal customers, reviewing scope of work from technical aspects, and proposing solutions and contracting strategies.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of procurement processes, minimum 15 years of experience, and 10 years in procurement. Prior experience in tender preparation, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and cross-functional team leadership is required.

The successful candidate will be able to analyze SOW/BOQ/Contracts, develop strategic relationships, manage problem resolution, and escalate issues when necessary.

A very good understanding of English language is essential, and Arabic language proficiency is an added advantage.

Additionally, the candidate should possess good PC skills, exposure to Oracle or other ERP solutions, and knowledge of complete supply chain management, sourcing/tendering, and contracting.

Strong people management skills, written and oral communication skills, networking skills, and negotiation skills are also required.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Communicate with internal customers to plan future procurement requirements.
  2. Review Scope of Work from Technical Aspects.
  3. Revalidate Final Requisition.
  4. Propose Solutions & Contracting Strategies.
  5. Qualify Requests based on listed prerequisites.
  6. Discuss Requirement Details with Internal Customers.
  7. Create a Procurement Project Plan, agree with Direct Supervisor, communicate/agree it with Internal Customer.
  8. Manage Timelines and participate in Total Process (RFI, Tendering, Evaluation, Awarding, and Contracting).
  9. Prepare Handover of Contract to Internal Customer.
  10. Align Projects with Corporate Vision/Mission/Values.
  11. Participate in General Manager/Senior Manager Annual Initiatives.
  12. Identify and Prioritize List of Projects and Develop Solution Strategies.
  13. Contribute to Identify Weaknesses in Procurement Process and Advise Solutions.
  14. Cooperate with Team/Colleagues of Project, discuss their issues and give advice.
  15. Prepare Weekly Update Report, where he/she indicates Analysis and Comments.
  16. Manage Work Duties to achieve Individual/Dept KPIs.
  17. Cope with stresses and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
