F-16 Avionics Installation Expert

The Aircraft Avionics Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of complex avionics systems on F-16 Block 50 aircraft. This expert professional is responsible for installing, repairing, testing, and modifying advanced avionics systems to maintain optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Detect and rectify malfunctions in intricate avionics systems by utilizing technical data, wiring diagrams, and electronic measurement equipment.
2. Install and remove components, perform alignment, calibration, and bore sight of avionics systems, and upload operational software into system components.
3. Analyze avionics systems to identify issues and determine the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
4. Evaluate maintenance procedures and suggest improvements to optimize equipment performance.
5. Provide on-the-job training and supervision to technicians.

Requirements:

• Achieve a skill level of 7 in AFSC 2A3X2 or equivalent.
• Cumulative experience of 5 years supporting F-16 Block 50 or equivalent; 8 years supporting F-16 aircraft.
• High School Diploma required.
